Sysco’s SYGMA Northern California division is seeking a Supervisor, Transportation (CDL optional) to oversee daily transportation operations. You will supervise drivers, ensure compliance with DOT and safety standards, and manage schedules, training, and asset use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent.
• 2-4 year college degree in business management, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of transportation experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates, ensuring SOPs, food safety standards and efficient customer service.
• Ensures compliance with DOT/OSHA and that electronic logs are accurate and current.
• Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts as needed.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Directs proper use of company assets to support delivery operations.
• Coordinates required repairs with relevant departments.
• Reviews delivery productivity and implements cost-saving changes.
• Trains and enforces company policies, including food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates with warehouse and customer service to resolve issues and improve delivery.
• Visits customer locations to address issues and assess delivery challenges.
• Maintains open communication and monitors associate morale and engagement.
