Qualifications

• Education: a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 4–8 years in transportation; DOT knowledge highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and routing.

Responsibilities

• Closely monitor driver performance via technology and control features.
• Maintain records of driver pay, equipment maintenance, and performance.
• Review driver logs and paperwork for accuracy and policy/DOT compliance.
• Monitor equipment for safe operation and minimal downtime.
• Plan and schedule transportation staff assignments.
• Process weekly payroll and verify vendor invoices.
• Monitor expenses and fuel reports; adjust plans for efficiency.
• Ensure safety compliance and DOT regulatory requirements.
• Direct and coordinate driver observations related to safe operations.

Education

High school diploma or GED

4-year degree plus transportation supervisory experience
