Position Purpose

Assist management in supervising drivers and staff within the Transportation Department. Implement schedules, manage departure times, and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effective communication with customers and internal departments.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties

• Coordinate daily scheduling of drivers and staff to ensure workforce effectiveness
• Monitor driver departure times and report accordingly
• Share on-call duties within the Transportation Department
• Coordinate customer deliveries, notify customers of delays or issues
• Assist with rental requirements and equipment needs
• Handle inquiries via phone from customers, warehouse staff, and drivers
• Support the Transportation Manager and assist with log data entry
• Summarize and communicate quality check results and on-time reporting
• Work with leasing companies to maintain trucks properly
• Act as a key communicator between departments regarding schedule changes and new accounts
• Perform additional duties as needed
