Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of highway, transit and rail structures in California. You will assist senior engineers in producing design drawings, calculations and specifications for infrastructure projects and work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings and calculations, reviewing shop drawings, and coordinating with clients and other disciplines to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years in engineering design and design check.
• Experience with Caltrans Design Standards and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings, calculations and details for transportation projects.
• Design new structures and rehabilitation with coordination with other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and calculations, address site issues and RFI responses.
• Assist with client coordination including meetings, submittals and comments.
• Coordinate with staff design departments and clients to meet high standards.
