Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of design experience in transportation structures
- Licensed Professional Engineer in California (PE CA)
- Experience with highway/transit/rail structures including High Speed Rail a plus
- Proficiency in design calculations per Caltrans/standards and familiarity with ACI/AASHTO/IBC
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in structural design and calculations
- Prepare design drawings and specifications for transportation projects
- Design new structures and rehab existing ones with coordination across disciplines
- Review shop drawings, calculations, and address RFIs; site visits as needed
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality work
- Collaborate with other staff to complete projects to a high standard
