Job summary

Stantec in California is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing highway, transit and rail structures, including buried/underground elements. You will assist senior engineers with design drawings, calculations and specifications for infrastructure projects in California.

The role requires a CA-registered PE, proficiency in concrete, steel, masonry and wood/timber design, and hands-on use of SAP2000, CSiBridge or Midas Civil.

Qualifications

Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.
5+ years in engineering design and design check for transportation structures.
Experience with design calculations and shop drawings review.
Familiarity with Caltrans Design Standards and agency codes.

Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with design drawings, calculations and specifications.
Prepare design drawings, calculations, and details for transportation projects.
Design new structures and rehabilitate existing ones with cross-discipline coordination.
Review shop drawings and coordinate with the design team; site visits as needed.
Coordinate with clients and other staff to deliver high-quality projects.
