Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.
• 3–5 years post-education experience in engineering; prior structural/civil design experience.
• Engineer in Training certification.
• Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/analysis concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure design, rehabilitation, and construction management.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop data collection, compilation, and analysis methods from sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and other sources for project development, design, and construction.
• Perform professional structural engineering work, inspecting proposed and existing site conditions to ensure conformance with rules and permits.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and safety/PHASing plans; coordinate with owners and other disciplines.
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements to ensure safety and functionality for end users and infrastructure.
• Work independently or in cross-functional teams to execute multiple projects and guide junior members.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and 2D/3D drawings for interpretation and communication.
