Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer to join the Civil Transportation group in Buffalo, NY. You will provide technical assistance for due diligence, investigations, permitting, design, and construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges and water systems.

The role entails data collection, site analysis, modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, compliance and quality in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of post-education experience in civil engineering.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, design/build, permitting and project work.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze data from sites, surveys, maps and other data for design and construction.
• Perform civil engineering work and assist with research, inspections, and conformance with permits.
• Incorporate advanced modeling, design standards and safety considerations.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and professionals to execute project work and guide construction.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and presentations for findings and analyses.
• Maintain quality control and accuracy in measurements and reporting.
• Assist in scoping small- to medium-sized projects and developing action plans.
