Job summary
Griot’s Garage is seeking a Transportation Specialist (Level II) in Plainfield, IN to independently coordinate daily transportation activities. You will manage shipments across parcel, FCL, LTL, and FTL modes, ensure DOT/hazardous materials compliance, and prepare necessary shipping documents.
The role requires 2–4 years in logistics, proficiency with ERP/TMS/WMS, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. DOE benefits and a safety-focused warehouse environment are offered.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years in logistics/transportation roles.
- Hazardous materials shipping knowledge preferred.
- Experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments across parcel, FCL, LTL, and FTL to meet schedules.
- Prepare Bills of Lading, SDSs, and other shipping documents; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate international shipments with carriers and customs.
- Monitor shipments; resolve delays and OS&D claims; maintain carrier relations.
- Review freight invoices; provide reporting on costs and service levels.
