Job Details

Under the general direction of the Corporate Transportation Director, the candidate will analyze the effectiveness of existing transportation processes and customer delivery across various modes including parcel, LTL, FTL, and carrier deliveries at local, regional, and national levels. The role involves ensuring carrier performance aligns with Cencora objectives, recommending strategies to reduce costs, and supporting transportation initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Compile data from various systems such as CSP, EEM, SAP, and other sources to evaluate transportation performance.
2. Design and develop data to support process improvements that reduce costs and enhance effectiveness.
3. Assess transportation network delivery accuracy and recommend adjustments to improve service levels.
4. Create transportation-related databases for specific business needs.
5. Develop and analyze KPIs related to transportation performance.
6. Plan and forecast FTL and LTL shipments, selecting optimal carriers and modes.
7. Manage carrier contracts, depot databases, and compliance monitoring.
8. Prepare data and requirements for RFPs and carrier conversions, managing related projects.
9. Monitor vendor compliance with contracts and develop solutions to distribution challenges.
10. Train team members on new processes and solutions.
11. Collaborate with carriers and managers to improve performance.
12. Perform rate and service analyses for small packages and LTL shipments weekly.
13. Provide data and analysis for quarterly business reviews.
14. Update internal transportation websites and manage cost-saving trackers.
15. Ensure correct pricing application and incentives receipt.
16. Organize account setups for consistency and spend analysis.
17. Identify opportunities for shipment consolidation.
18. Prepare process flow documents and communicate effectively with business groups.
19. Assist in uploading data for CSP rating, SAP routing, and customer delivery zones.
20. Manage new customer group additions in coordination with relevant teams.
21. Provide market pricing analysis to identify RFP opportunities.
22. Maintain KPI metrics for regions/DCs and carriers, ensuring data integrity.
23. Onboard new carriers and technology partners as needed.
24. Monitor shipment statuses and resolve delivery issues with stakeholders.
25. Develop SOPs for carrier compliance and audit processes.
26. Audit carrier invoices and approve payments.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
• Experience with courier, pool distribution, small package, LTL, and TL environments is a plus.
• Experience responding to RFPs and RFQs in transportation.
• Ability to present information effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in analyzing technical, financial, and legal documents.

Skills and Ability Requirements:

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of ABC policies, programs, services, and products.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to implement audit-compliant processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Experience with automated freight pay and audit systems.
• Ability to evaluate business problems and develop solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access for database management.
