Job summary

PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) Topeka is seeking a Transportation Services Assistant/Activities - Certified Nurse Assistant. The role transports residents to appointments and events, ensuring safety and timely service.

It also acts as backup for the life enrichment coordinator, supporting resident activities and engagement. The ideal candidate holds a CNA license, CPR certification or willingness to obtain, and a valid driver’s license, with preference for long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent desired.
• Valid driver’s license according to state laws.
• Must possess and maintain a superior accident-free record.
• CPR certified or willingness to obtain.
• Certified Nursing Assistant License required.
• Previous 6 months of experience in long-term care desired.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments, activities and events in a timely and safe manner.
• Back-up for the life enrichment coordinator handling resident activities.
• Assist with resident movement and safety as needed.

The Transportation Services Assistant position is responsible for transporting residents to appointments, activities and events in a timely and safe manner and in accordance with the laws of this state. Advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the residents’ home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care. This position is the backup for our life enrichment coordinator that handles resident activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And/or TRAINING

• High School diploma or equivalent desired.
• Valid driver’s license according to the laws of the state.
• Must possess and maintain a superior accident-free record both in the performance of work duties and personal driving.
• CPR certified or willingness to obtain.
• Certified Nursing Assistant License required.
• Previous 6 months of experience in long-term care desired.
