Job summary
Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable Transportation Aide to safely transport residents to appointments and activities. You will assist residents in boarding and exiting vehicles and provide supportive, compassionate care throughout each trip.
This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 20 years old, and CNA certification. The position is full-time, with competitive compensation and benefits, and daily pay options available where offered by Americare.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate facility vehicles to transport residents to and from scheduled destinations.
- Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including mobility and safety support.
- Provide supervision and attentive care to residents during transport.
- Maintain a courteous, respectful, and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Ensure resident safety by following transportation and safety protocols.
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident needs or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic safety checks of the vehicle.
- Protect resident confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

The Transportation Aide is responsible for driving facility vehicles to transport residents to appointments, activities, and other approved destinations. This role also includes assisting residents during transport, ensuring safety, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment throughout the trip.

- Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including mobility and safety support
- Provide supervision and attentive care to residents during transport
- Maintain a courteous, respectful, and compassionate demeanor at all times
- Ensure resident safety by following transportation and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and basic safety checks of assigned vehicle
- Protect resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Represent Americare positively when interacting with residents, families, and community partners
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 20 years of age
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive while transporting residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
