AJ Transport is seeking a Transportation Sales Representative in South Boston, VA to grow our customer base and close new accounts. You will work with a supportive Operations and Dispatch team to deliver on commitments and maintain strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes prospecting, presenting AJ Transport’s capabilities, and navigating pricing negotiations with customers across the transportation sector. A valid CDL or willingness to travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• B2B sales experience in transportation or logistics preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Self-starter with strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Hunt for new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
• Promote AJ Transport's full range of services and capabilities.
• Prepare pricing proposals, negotiate rates, and close new accounts.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Operations to deliver on customer promises.
• Maintain clear communication on scheduling and service needs.
