Performance Foodservice in Louisville, KY is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers and support DOT compliance. You will supervise, train, and coach drivers, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries and accurate paperwork.

The role blends onsite supervision with field work, roughly 60% onsite and 40% field, and requires coordinating payroll, logs, and driver data while maintaining DOT standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries and pickups are made in a timely manner; rides with drivers for training/evaluation.
• Assists with day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions; may include payroll review and expense reports.
• Ensures drivers comply with DOT and OpCo regulations; maintains DOT logs and DVIRs.
• Monitors vehicle safety, safe ramp/handcart use, seat belts and safe lifting practices; attends safety meetings.
• Tracks driver information: licenses, tickets, accidents, and risk data.
• Completes delivery and driver paperwork: invoices, receipts, trip reports, fuel tickets, DOT logs, DVIRs, etc.
• Maintains trucks/tractors/trailers via post-trip inspections; works to minimize operating expenses and optimize routing.
• Hybrid work model: ~60% onsite, ~40% field; performs other duties as assigned.
