Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is hiring for a senior EHS transportation safety role based in Houston. You will design and implement transportation safety policies, drive regulatory compliance, and partner with fleet, facilities, and HR teams to minimize operational risk.

This hybrid position requires on-site presence 3–4 days per week. Ideal candidate has 10+ years DOT/OSHA experience, strong leadership, and ability to influence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Federal and State DOT experience with large companies.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in EHS or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA requirements.
• Fluent English; Spanish valued.

Responsibilities

• Design transportation safety policies, training programs and campaigns.
• Create compliance reports and audit protocols for regulations and driver files.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders to allocate resources for safety projects.
• Develop internal and external networks to implement safety policies.
• Drive injury prevention programs and culture of safety.
• Analyze trends to reduce injury and improve safety metrics.
