Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an experienced, intermediate-level EHS professional to provide site-level EHS expertise to assigned business units, support the field safety team, and partner with the EHS function to implement Sysco's global EHS management system across multiple sites in the United States.

You will lead and support EHS processes including training, environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, contractor oversight, and incident investigations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with major course work in EHS, risk management safety/industrial/quality/environmental engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of EHS program management experience with large national or multi-national companies with multiple sites.
• ASP designation or ability to acquire within 1 year is preferred.
• CSP/CIH or other recognized EHS certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs to motivate and influence a world-class safety culture and minimize injury risk.
• Identify, assess, and control site-level hazards, including investigations and root cause analyses.
• Manage, deliver, and track compliance training programs; identify gaps based on injury trends and risk assessments.
• Support workers’ compensation claims process and promote safe early return to work.
• Collaborate with leaders to manage EHS resources, projects, and business decisions.
• Contribute to design of standardized safety systems, policies, and campaigns to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Support environmental compliance and claims programs.
