Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks a Transportation Project Manager to lead complex highway and bridge projects within its Inland Northwest group.

The role emphasizes project management, team leadership, and business development across Idaho and neighboring states. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in transportation engineering, strong public agency collaboration experience (ITD/WSDOT/LHTAC), and a PE license or the ability to obtain it within six months.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of transportation engineering experience with at least 3 years in project management or design lead.
• Strong background with public agencies such as ITD, WSDOT, and LHTAC.
• Licensed PE in Idaho and Washington or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and project management efforts for bridge, roadway, freeway, highway corridor, and interchange planning/design projects.
• Oversee project execution to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
• Review engineering documents for compliance with scope, standards, and DEA’s quality expectations.
• Help attract, develop, and retain top talent while managing performance and supporting career growth.
• Collaborate with the Group Leader to achieve business metrics including sales, backlog, utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to DEA’s firmwide tools, processes, and policies related to project budgeting, contracting, and quality management.
