Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks a Transportation Project Engineer to join our Roads and Highways Practice in Boise and nearby areas. You will work on multidisciplinary projects, performing engineering design and analysis for highways and streets.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, Idaho PE licensure with WA eligibility in 6 months, and 7+ years of related experience, with OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D expertise and DOT/local agency project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Idaho PE license and Washington license eligibility (or ability to obtain in 6 months).
• 7+ years of civil engineering design experience related to transportation projects.
• OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D transportation project experience.
• Project experience with DOTs and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff.
• Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information for construction drawings.
• Design, prepare, and analyze preliminary and final plans in OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D.
• Analyze maps, reports, drawings, and as-builts for design projects.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, estimates, and designs for projects.
• Serve as roadway task lead and delegate work to junior staff.
• Develop, track and modify project schedules.
• Meet with project stakeholders and engage the public through open houses.
