Job summary

Volkert Inc. in the Gulf Region seeks an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead and support projects across Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. You will manage plans, schedules, budgets, and client communications while mentoring junior staff.

Requires a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET), 5+ years in traffic or roadway design, Alabama PE license, and proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, InRoads, ArcGIS, and related tools. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• 5+ years in transportation engineering with progressive responsibilities.
• Alabama PE license.
• Proficiency with industry software listed in tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and plan review for clients in Alabama.
• Organize activities, schedules, and reports for transportation projects.
• Lead or assist in developing project designs and guide designers to deliver work.
• Prepare engineering studies, documents, and reports.
• Manage project budgets and client communications.
• Attend meetings and interact with clients and the public.
