Job summary

Egis, a leading global engineering firm, seeks an experienced Project Manager in Florida to lead transportation design projects for FDOT, counties, and municipalities. You will oversee scope, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC, while guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

The role requires a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of PM experience, strong client development skills, and proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and FDOT Connect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years of PM experience on transportation projects, FDOT preferred.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida required.
• Florida business development experience in the transportation sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with the FDOT Design Manual (FDM) and roadway design standards.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer and FDOT Connect and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transportation design projects for FDOT and municipalities.
• Prepare design documentation, calculations, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and coordinate with stakeholders and sub-consultants.
• Coordinate resource planning for timely project delivery.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
• Oversee hiring, supervision, development, and evaluation of staff.
