Job summary

Egis is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for highway design-build projects based in Florida. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and serve as the primary liaison with FDOT, FHWA, and contractors.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida PE license, 10+ years in transportation engineering, and proven PM experience on design-build programs. Travel within Florida is required as project needs dictate, and you’ll mentor staff while delivering high-value

Qualifications

• Active Florida PE license and 10+ years in transportation engineering.
• Proven PM experience on highway design-build projects.
• Knowledge of FDOT policies, procedures, and design criteria.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for highway design-build projects, from pursuit through final delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with construction partners in a design-build environment.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality per PM procedures.
• Act as the primary point of contact with FDOT, FHWA, contractors, and subconsultants.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, manuals, DB contracts, DB guidelines, and federal regulations.
• Oversee design development, technical reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering.
• Support design-build pursuits, staffing plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
