Environmental Design Group is seeking a Transportation Engineer to lead and mentor teams on trails, roadways, sidewalks, and complete streets across Ohio. The role blends technical leadership with client management and project execution, including budgets and schedules.

You will supervise associates, coordinate with subconsultants and stakeholders, and help grow the department through strong relationships and proactive problem-solving. Hybrid/Remote work options available.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of plan production, task management, schedule, and budget management.
• Willingness to train, mentor, and lead within the department.
• PLA/RLA, AICP, PE, or related certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry software.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop associates with project-task guidance.
• Manage projects including scheduling, budgets, team coordination, and client satisfaction.
• Monitor budgets, report variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, teams, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, scopes, budgets, and deliverables per client needs.
• Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Build client relationships and support business development through networking.
• Deliver presentations to clients and regulators as needed.
• Support QA/QC and drive process improvements.
