Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in Columbus, OH to lead highway and roadway design from concept through construction. You will manage projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with PMs and clients to deliver safe, reliable transportation solutions.

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Ohio PE licensure, and 10+ years of highway/roadway experience are required. Proficiency with MicroStation, PowerGEOPAK, and OpenRoads 3D is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or a related field is required.
• Ohio PE licensure is required.
• 10+ years of highway/roadway design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering designs, plans, and drawings for urban and rural roadways, highways, and intersections.
• Apply advanced transportation engineering principles and stay current on evolving methods and technologies.
• Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, multidisciplinary teams, and clients.
• Responsible for the design, quality reviews, and sealing of assigned projects.
• Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
