Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred)
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Illinois Department of Transportation and local municipalities (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient in MicroStation with OpenRoadsDesigner/Geopak or AutoCAD with Civil 3D
• Valid driver’s license
• Must complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Resolve engineering problems and tasks with help from senior staff
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports
• Work as part of a team to provide transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies
• Assist in preparing reports and feasibility studies
• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
