Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. seeks a full-time Project Engineer to join our Transportation team in Illinois. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and will assist and lead project teams, develop engineering solutions, and deliver comprehensive end products.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred).
  • Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with the Illinois Department of Transportation and local municipalities (preferred).
  • Use of Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must complete a background check.

Job description

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to work in the Illinois region of our Transportation business unit. The position requires 5+ years of experience. This position is responsible for assisting & leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough and comprehensive end product.

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
