Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in our Transportation unit. The position emphasizes assisting and leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough end product.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Proficiency with MS Office and design software such as MicroStation/OpenRoadsDesigner/Geopak or AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering projects.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assigned specific tasks on project teams with high responsibility.
• Resolve engineering problems with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering reports.
• Contribute to transportation services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Aid in reports and feasibility studies.
• Develop PS&E, specifications, and estimates.
