Job summary

Otak, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to apply their civil engineering expertise to roadways, trails, bridges, and site projects. You will lead design efforts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and engage with clients and agencies to deliver safe, sustainable transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive civil engineering experience, especially transportation/public infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies and clients.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads or equivalent software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical design and delivery of transportation projects.
• Coordinate with project managers on scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Ensure design quality and regulatory compliance (AASHTO, ADA, MUTCD, ODOT, WSDOT).
• Lead teams, engage with clients and agencies, support proposal efforts.
• Provide construction-phase support including submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
• Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
