Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in our Transportation unit in Utah.

This role requires 5+ years of experience and involves assisting and leading project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering comprehensive end products. Responsibilities include solving engineering problems, performing transportation analyses, preparing reports, and delivering PS&E packages for municipal, county, and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license preferred; ability to obtain licensure is valued.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities needed to guide project teams.
• Experience with Utah DOT and local municipalities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve engineering problems with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Work with a team to deliver transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Assist in preparing reports and feasibility studies.
• Develop PS&E packages and project deliverables.
