Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking a Transportation Program Manager 1 who will oversee the development and execution of division or district-wide programs and projects. The role may manage teams and will ensure milestones are met, budgets are controlled, and reporting processes are established.

Reporting to the WV Division of Multi-Modal Transportation, the position requires coordinating with stakeholders, guiding project objectives, and balancing scope, time, and resources to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a professional, administrative, technical, or supervisory position.
• Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, through an established formula.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the development and execution of a division or district-wide program(s) and/or project(s).
• May manage teams and will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the project is completed on time and within budget.
• Assigns milestones, develops reporting processes, and ensures that every team has what they need to fulfill the objectives of the program or project.
