Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or another applicable field required.
• 15+ years of transportation engineering experience with strong project delivery understanding.
• Proven ability to grow business, develop opportunities, and maintain client/industry relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership to guide, mentor, and inspire staff at varying levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication to connect with clients, teams, and partners.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with initiative and ability to turn opportunities into results.
• Servant leadership grounded in collaboration, integrity, innovation, excellence, and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a growth strategy for transportation engineering, identifying new markets, pursuits, and partnerships.
• Serve as a visible market leader, open doors, and position the firm for long-term regional success.
• Lead and support project delivery with focus on client experience, technical quality, collaboration, and outcomes.
• Build a financially strong, sustainable practice by managing budgets, schedules, risk, and growth goals.
• Develop, mentor, and empower project managers and engineers to grow within the practice.
• Foster collaboration across local and regional offices to deliver exceptional work.
• Encourage staff engagement in professional societies, networking, and industry leadership.
• Represent Burgess & Niple as a transportation leader at client meetings and industry events.
