Job summary

TPD is seeking dynamic engineers at all levels in the United States. The ideal candidate has 0-3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.

Hybrid options may be available depending on experience. Responsibilities include preparing transportation analyses, assisting with field data and drawings, and using planning software to develop documents.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with planning software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses.
• Assist in analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photos.
• Obtain, analyze, and interpret demographic and regional transportation planning data.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare documents.
• Assist in preparing or modifying planning documents including transportation impact studies and traffic analyses.
• Assist in field data collection.
• Serve as project representative.
• Use planning software to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
• Support quality system tasks as defined in the handbook.
• Perform other general office duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses for their projects within the team.
• Assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan projects.
• Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
• Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and planning documents.
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of planning documents, including transportation impact studies, and traffic operational analyses, for projects.
• Assisting in the collection of field data.
• Serving as project representative.
• Use of planning software and equipment to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
• Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual or handbook.
• Responsible for other general office duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields
• Experience utilizing any or all of the following (preferred but not required): Synchro, SimTraffic, AutoCAD/MicroStation
• Aptitude for detail-oriented work assignments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
