Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields required.
• Engineer in Training Certification preferred.
• Experience with planning tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trip generation estimates and roadway volume analyses.
• Analyze field data, maps, drawings, and photos for projects.
• Obtain and interpret regional transportation planning data.
• Use engineering software to prepare planning documents.
• Prepare or modify transportation impact studies and traffic analyses.
• Assist in field data collection.
• Serve as onsite project representative.
• Utilize planning software to prepare documents.
• Conduct quality system tasks per manuals and handbooks.
• Handle general office duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses for their projects within the team.
• Assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan projects.
• Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
• Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and planning documents.
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of planning documents, including transportation impact studies, and traffic operational analyses, for projects.
• Assisting in the collection of field data.
• Serving as onsite project representative.
• Use of planning software and equipment to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
• Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual or handbook.
• Responsible for other general office duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields
• Engineer in Training Certification Preferred
• Experience utilizing any or all of the following: Synchro, SimTraffic, Excel, AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred but not required)
• Aptitude for detail-oriented work assignments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience with preparing traffic and parking studies (preferred but not required)
