Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern in Atlanta, GA, to support NEPA-related transportation planning efforts. You will assist with assessments, create graphics and maps, and participate in site visits and data processing.

The role requires coursework in planning or related fields, basic skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint and ArcPro GIS, plus willingness to work outdoors and drive as needed. Internship offers mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Completed scientific, engineering, or related coursework requiring research, data analysis, and report production.
Must have completed 60 hours toward a bachelor's degree in planning or related field by Summer 2027.
Able to work in outdoor project sites and drive.
Basic understanding of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ArcPro GIS.
Experience reading maps or construction plans is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of screening assessments under supervision.
Create graphics, maps, spreadsheets, databases, or tables for technical reports.
Participate in site assessment activities and data processing.
Assist with public engagement activities and create informative materials.
