Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Henderson, NV is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2027 to work on real client projects across the project lifecycle, including traffic modelling, data collection, safety analysis, public engagement, and multi-modal planning.

You will assist with technical documentation, presentations, and project reports; analyze and interpret transportation data to support recommendations; participate in client meetings, workshops, and team discussions; and help communicate

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Work on real client projects across the project lifecycle and transportation planning assignments.
• Support transportation planning tasks including traffic modelling, data collection, safety analysis, public engagement, and multi-modal planning and design.
• Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, presentations, and project reports.
• Analyze and interpret transportation data to support project recommendations, planning discussions and decision-making.
• Participate in project team meetings, client meetings, and workshops.
• Support mapping, data visualization, and planning analyses used to communicate project findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative transportation solutions.
• Participate in training, mentorship and professional development opportunities to build skills.
