Job summary

Garver invites motivated environmental sciences students to join the Transportation Team as a Transportation Intern in Fayetteville, AR. The internship offers hands-on experience with environmental documentation, NEPA processes, and interfacing with project managers in a consulting setting.

You will gain exposure to ecology, hydrology, cultural resources, and related fields, while using ESRI ArcGIS and related tools to support infrastructure projects across transportation, aviation, and water

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing an environmental science, ecology, biology, or related degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as necessary.
• Proven time management and work ethic.
• Proven professional communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Desire to assist with infrastructure improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in environmental compliance and planning projects with the team.
• Familiarize with NEPA-related local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation including Section 404 permit applications.
• Explore interdisciplinary interests across ecology, hydrology, cultural resources, hazardous materials, and environmental justice in various projects.
• Learn and utilize ESRI ArcGIS products and related software.
• Contribute as a motivated, adaptable team member on diverse environmental projects.
