Job summary

CDM Smith, a leading transportation and toll analytics firm, is seeking a senior specialist in traffic revenue and demand modeling for the North Region. You will contribute to studies and lead technical work on toll facilities, applying socioeconomic and travel demand analyses.

The role emphasizes data analysis of large datasets, task management, QA/QC, and mentoring junior staff, with coordination of technical content for clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
• 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years with Master's degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies throughout the North Region, including potentially being the Project Technical Leader for Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling Projects.
• Executing Advanced Data Analysis: Analyzing large data sets in support of Traffic and Revenue studies and Demand Management studies, as well as in support of highway planning projects more broadly.
• Performing overall task management, and QA/QC procedures.
• Being responsible for coordination and management of the technical content of projects including driving the technical vision of the end product, ensuring the technical accuracy of the work product, ensuring the right technical skill sets are on the project at the correct time, developing and mentoring technical project staff, and coordinating all aspects of the project with our clients.
• Being a mentor for junior staff by providing thorough editing of draft documents and QA/QC of deliverables.
