Job summary

Burgess & Niple seeks a Transportation Planner to lead and manage a range of transportation planning projects for state DOTs, MPOs, and local governments. The role blends technical planning with client engagement and project leadership to deliver comprehensive studies and plans.

You will build relationships, contribute to business development, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance multimodal and long-range planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), or similar; Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop transportation plans and studies for multimodal projects
• Manage projects and coordinate with planners for master plans and safety plans
• Build client relationships and assist in business development
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to prepare reports and communicate findings
• Assist in transportation planning project proposals
• Deliver professional services for state DOTs, MPOs, and local governments
