Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or comparable field required.
  • 15+ years of transportation engineering experience, including delivery from pursuit through completion.
  • Proven ability to grow business and maintain client relationships in transportation.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and staff development abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with initiative.
  • Servant leadership with collaboration, integrity, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a growth strategy for the transportation engineering practice, identifying new markets and partnerships, and deepening client relationships.
  • Serve as a visible market leader to position the firm for long-term regional success.
  • Lead and support project delivery with focus on client experience, technical quality, collaboration, and outcomes.
  • Build a financially strong and sustainable practice by managing budgets, schedules, risk, performance and growth goals.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower project managers and engineers to grow with the practice.
  • Foster collaboration across local and regional offices, connecting people and expertise.
  • Encourage staff engagement in professional societies, networking, and industry leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Represent the firm as an established transportation leader at client meetings, industry events, professional organizations, and strategic pursuits
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or another applicable field required
  • 15+ years of transportation engineering experience, including a strong understanding of project delivery from pursuit through completion
  • Proven ability to grow business, develop opportunities, and maintain a strong network of client and industry relationships in the transportation sector
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and inspire technical staff at varying levels of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients, teams, and industry partners
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with the confidence to take initiative, make connections, and turn opportunities into results
  • Servant leadership approach grounded in collaboration, integrity, innovation, excellence, and a commitment to developing others
