Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a transportation planner to build and optimize daily shipment plans using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). You will assign truckloads, partner with customers and carriers, and proactively address delays while ensuring efficient utilization of trailers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with transportation management systems, with strong Excel skills and teamwork. Hybrid onsite/work-from-home Fridays offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with transportation management systems preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and tender daily shipment plans using the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system for assigned facilities.
• Assign truckload shipments to designated carriers based on routing guides, cost parameters, and service requirements.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule deliveries and resolve exceptions in real time.
• Escalate loading or delivery bottlenecks and inventory inquiries as the primary point of contact.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
