Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a data-automation engineer to develop and automate analytical tools for order management and BOM. You will implement changes in PLM, MDP, and TSA, collaborating with design, engineering, manufacturing and product support teams to translate requirements into robust software tools and data products.

You will ensure configuration management and BOM integrity while improving workflow efficiency through documentation and tooling enhancements. Travel ~5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, business, information systems, or related field.
• Experience with configuration concepts or HVAC preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, parts lists, and BOMs.
• Strong logical and mathematical skills.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and work in a technical engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate analytical tools and data workflows for order management and BOM.
• Execute product changes within PLM (DMC/MDP) and TSA tools.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and product support teams.
• Translate engineering and customer needs into software tools and data products.
• Implement, maintain, and audit configuration management and BOM aspects.
• Continuously improve analytics capabilities and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and application issues.
• Define feature categories and rules for MDP and TSA in simple projects.
