Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Supervisory – Dedicated Transportation role in Portage, MI to oversee daily fleet dispatch operations, driver management, and route planning. You will coordinate maintenance, safety programs, and regulatory reporting while driving efficiency and accuracy in shipment execution.

The position requires at least two years in fleet dispatch, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
Two plus years of experience in related fleet dispatch experience and/or training.
Load planning and knowledge of DOT compliance regulations.
Customer service, operations and/or industrial background preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

Oversee driver management, route assignment, and shipment requests from customers.
Coordinate equipment maintenance, PM, repairs, and invoice reconciliation.
Manage scheduling and staffing; ensure coverage and timely dispatch.
Promote a safe culture and ensure DOT regulatory compliance and audits.
Coach and mentor associates to meet performance goals; conduct annual performance reviews.
Gather and report KPIs; maximize fleet efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
