Job summary

Global Expedited Transportation Freight Corp. is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager to lead daily dispatch activities, driver scheduling, and load assignment at Savannah or Mobile terminals.

You will supervise 4–5 dispatchers, coach staff, and ensure KPI targets, including on-time performance and detentions are met. The role requires 3–5 years in drayage/intermodal/trucking with supervisory responsibility, plus strong knowledge of port operations and FMCSA/DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Logistics, Business, or related field).
• 3–5 years in drayage/intermodal/trucking ops with dispatch leadership.
• Strong understanding of port operations and terminal systems (GPA, APM, MA, ITS).
• FMCSA/DOT compliance, HOS and ELD knowledge.
• Proven ability to supervise teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch planning, driver scheduling, and load assignment for Savannah or Mobile terminals.
• Monitor freight movement to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Review and approve dispatcher updates to TMS/dispatch systems with accurate records.
• Supervise 4–5 Dispatchers and provide coaching and development.
• Coordinate with Safety, Accounting, Maintenance and manage terminal relationships.
