Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Supervisor of Shipment Management to lead a team of Coordinators, interface with customers, and drive operational excellence across startup and ongoing account updates.

You will develop training, monitor metrics, and plan staffing to meet forecasted demands while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and reliable transportation solutions for clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• Two+ years of direct transportation or logistics experience.
• 0 to 1 year direct supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of transportation industry and SMS systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with customers on operational issues.
• Supervise SMCs and provide direction to SMRs.
• Support front-line execution of customer requirements and solution development.
• Maintain ISO 9001 quality system and function as an internal ISO auditor.
• Accumulate and report account-specific metrics to management.
• Plan staffing and operational requirements based on forecasted demand.
