Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Transportation Operations Coordinator to ensure shipments move smoothly and issues are resolved quickly. You will be the key contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor shipments, assist with scheduling, and help maintain accurate records while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, operations support, call center, or related roles.
• Passion for helping customers and resolving issues with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Ability to build relationships with drivers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service as the primary contact for drivers and customers.
• Monitor shipment activity and provide updates to customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and daily transportation activities to support on-time pickup and delivery.
• Investigate and resolve shipment, delivery, and driver-related issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal partners regarding status and changes.
• Enter and update shipment information and ensure data accuracy in company systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
