Job summary

First Student is seeking a operations coordinator to assist in onboarding transportation partners, manage daily trips, and support client relations. You will collaborate with internal teams on proposals, negotiate with customers, and oversee driver and partner onboarding to ensure efficient, safe service.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to monitor legislation impacting transportation while maintaining high service standards and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating transportation operations or similar logistic services.
• Ability to onboard partners and manage daily operations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in onboarding transportation partners and managing daily trips.
• Support daily customer management: onboarding new clients, retention, development.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with current and new clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to complete proposals and negotiate with customers.
• Oversee staff equipment onboarding (badges, cards, etc.) and driver/partner onboarding.
• Monitor legislation affecting transportation; assist implementation.
• Ensure accounts run efficiently and service levels meet client expectations.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and compliance with a large driver/partner pool.
• Work with departments to improve service quality and reduce costs.
• Maintain safe environment by following policies and procedures.
• Learn and utilize reports, SOPs, and standard practices within FirstAlt.
