Job summary

US Foods in Woodburn, OR seeks a Manager, Transportation to lead a team of drivers and transportation staff, ensuring safe, on-time outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers. You will coach drivers, enforce DOT compliance, and manage performance while collaborating with senior leaders.

The role focuses on developing personnel, controlling costs, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced distribution environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain a safety-first culture in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create development plans.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff; drive engagement and retention.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel with management.
