US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-focused team of drivers and transportation staff. You will apply your experience in transportation operations to manage personnel, optimize outbound shipments, and ensure accuracy and timeliness across distribution centers.

The role emphasizes safety, coaching, adherence to DOT rules, cost control, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent service while maintaining cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Related Experience/Requirements: Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset that ensures safety for associates, customers, and the public.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
• Direct and supervise the work of drivers and clerical staff within Transportation.
• Monitor production goals and ensure zero-error accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Schedule working shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
