Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Woodburn, OR is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead and develop drivers and transportation staff. You will coach, train, and assess performance, ensuring safety, DOT compliance, and on-time deliveries while controlling costs and improving processes.

You will partner with senior leaders to set goals, maintain accurate records, and drive a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement across the transportation department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
• Experience as a driver a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset that ensures injury-free operations for drivers, associates, customers, and the public.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching, training on policy and procedures, and performance discussions.
• Create an atmosphere of upward communication and motivate the team to meet department goals.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff within Transportation; drive engagement and retention.
• Build high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel and reviewing performance to address gaps.
• Monitor production goals, drive cost-effective and legal delivery solutions, and ensure DOT compliance.
