Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-first Transportation team and drive efficient outbound operations. You will coach drivers, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and manage the daily activities across distribution centers with a focus on safety, service, and cost.

The role emphasizes developing drivers, planning shifts, and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners and customers while promoting US Foods values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain a safety-first culture in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff.
• Ensure DOT regulations are followed and drive cost-effective operations.
