McLane Co. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Transportation Manager to lead dispatch teams, ensure DOT safety compliance, and optimize scheduling across warehousing and distribution.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3 years in outbound transportation, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PeopleNet. You will coach staff, generate reports, and drive a results-oriented transportation operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 3 years of outbound transportation experience, preferably in a distribution center.
• Experience managing drivers, hiring, training, and teammate relations.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Access and PeopleNet or similar programs.
• Ability to write reports and business communications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate transportation teammates and supervise dispatchers.
• Ensure compliance with Federal DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain safe fleet operations and schedule transportation staff.
• Plan, assign and direct work; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Lead performance reviews and provide salary adjustment recommendations.
• Collaborate with warehousing and distribution to resolve issues.
